I am a lifelong equestrian and have owned and shown several different breeds of horses. I currently train and exhibit Miniature Horses, mostly in driving classes. My love of horses and people led me to become a PATH International certified riding instructor for Milestones Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

I have been a member of the Northern Kentucky Horse Network since the first public meeting because I love to learn about all things equine. I currently sit on the Events/Education Committee, the Horse Show Committee and the Membership Committee. Hope to see you at our next educational event.

I have had horses for 30 years, but have loved them as long as I can remember.  I appreciate all types of horse breeds and sports.  I have primarily owned, showed, trail ridden, and loved Tennessee Walking horses.  However, I took a detour into English Pleasure/Costume with a Half-Arabian, am currently pursuing a Thoroughbred breeding endeavor, and ride on the Collage gaited drill team.

I love to trail ride. My favorite place to trail ride is Hocking Hills State Park.  My horse is named Sam.  We are a Level 1 cowboy mounted shooting team.  We have also been learning about carriage driving.  Where do I get my horse savvy from?  I have been a part of the Parelli natural horsemanship program for nine years.

I am deeply vetted in the horse world, as I was raised working and showing horses; it is just a passion of mine.  I grew up riding Saddlebreds and driving Hackney ponies, but have since evolved to the Walking Horse and Single Footing breeds.  They seem to have a new place in my heart.  I have passed my love of horses to my wife Karey, and our children Kaleigh and Roman.

I bought my first horse in 1975 and met my wife (who had horses) in 1977.  In 1989, I began working with 4-H and joined the 4-H Council, later holding offices of President and Vice President.  This led to the start of the Young Guns 4-H Drill Team in 1999.  My wife is the 4-H Leader and Coach.  I served on the Boone County Fair Board for two years.  I love to drive and ride my Tennessee Walker horse.  I enjoy camping with my horse, Jethro.  My entire family loves and rides horses including my six grandchildren.
